I am 19 years old and live in Saddleworth.
I have been playing Classical Guitar since the age of 6 and Percussion since the age of 10. I studied at the Blue Coat School to A Level standard. As Principal Percussionist of the Blue Coat Brass Band, in 2014, I performed as soloist at the Royal Albert Hall on the Xylophone in front of around 5,000 people.
I have been a member of The National Guitar Ensemble of Great Britain, Senior Percussionist and Mentor at the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain and the Principal Percussionist of The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.
I attended the Junior Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester for 3 years where I studied Co-Principal studies in Percussion and Classical Guitar.
Studying Percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music as an undergraduate, I am currently in my Second year of a Four year course. I was awarded The Norman Stoller Scholarship for this course.
I have had a long history of working with Brass Bands with my last full time position being with the The Fairey Band. The engagements with this band included many concerts at competitions at Venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and at the European Championships at Utrecht.
I recorded two CDs with Faireys and even did a SKY TV special with them supporting Jason Manford and Russell Watson.
I have recently worked with Foden’s Brass Band to win the National Championships in October 2018.
